What We Collect

Habitino collects the minimum data needed to provide the service:

  • Account information (name, email) from Apple or Google Sign-In
  • Habit data you create (names, descriptions, check-ins, notes, focus timer durations)
  • Device tokens for push notifications (if you opt in)

How We Use Your Data

Your data is used solely to provide the Habitino service:

  • Display your habits, streaks, and statistics
  • Send reminder notifications you configure
  • Sync data between your devices (iPhone, Apple Watch, web)

We do not sell, share, or monetize your personal data. We do not run ads.

Data Storage

Your data is stored securely on our servers hosted by Railway (PostgreSQL database). Authentication tokens are stored in your device's Keychain (iOS) or secure session storage (web). Background images you upload are compressed and stored securely on our servers.

Third-Party Services

  • Apple Sign-In — for authentication
  • Google Sign-In — for authentication
  • Railway — for hosting and database
  • TelemetryDeck — for privacy-friendly analytics (see below)

We do not use advertising SDKs or sell your data to third parties.

Analytics

We use the privacy-friendly analytics service TelemetryDeck (TelemetryDeck GmbH, Von-der-Tann-Str. 54, 86159 Augsburg, Germany) to understand how people use Habitino so we can improve it. TelemetryDeck collects:

  • An anonymized, untraceable user identifier (generated per app installation)
  • Aggregated usage signals (e.g. "app launched", "habit created", "timer started")
  • A rounded timestamp (to the nearest hour)
  • Device metadata (e.g. system version, app version, device type)

TelemetryDeck does not store IP addresses (not in logs, not in the database), does not use cookies or tracking technologies, and does not use persistent identifiers that could be traced back to individuals. The SDK is open source. For more information, see TelemetryDeck's privacy policy.

Your Rights

You can:

  • View all your data within the app
  • Edit or delete individual habits and entries
  • Delete your entire account and all associated data from Settings

Account deletion is permanent and immediate. All your habits, entries, streaks, and personal information are removed from our servers.

In-App Purchases

Habitino offers an optional one-time in-app purchase ("Habitino Pro") to unlock additional features. Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not collect, store, or have access to your payment information — Apple handles all payment processing. Purchase history and entitlements are managed by Apple's StoreKit framework on your device.

Data Retention

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. When you delete individual habits or entries, they are removed immediately from our servers. When you delete your account, all associated data (habits, entries, notes, streaks, and personal information) is permanently deleted from our database immediately. Automated backups that may contain your data are purged within 30 days of account deletion.

Children

Habitino is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes

We may update this policy. Significant changes will be communicated through the app.
